You can use the Zelle QR code to send money directly from your mobile banking app.

  • Find “send money with Zelle” and click on send. You will find the QR code icon on the top of the “select recipient” screen.
  • Click on the code and, your phone camera will pop up.
  • Point the camera at the QR code to scan.
  • Now enter the amount and double-check the user’s name of the recipient to make sure it’s the same person. 
  • Click on “send,” and the money will be on the way to your recipient’s bank account.

Where Can I Find My Zelle QR Code?

You can find your Zelle QR code in your banking app directly. Find and click on the “my code” tab to view your QR code.

I cannot use QR codes with my banking app. 

If after scanning a QR code, you land on to Zelle pay website, but your screen says “says the ability to use a Zelle® QR code is coming soon,” it means your bank or credit union do not offer the option yet. You can still send and receive money among friends and family using an email address or phone number.

If your bank offers Zelle, you will be able to transfer money by clicking on the QR code provided at the top of the “select recipient” screen.

Does Bank of America offer QR codes with Zelle?

Bank of America does not yet offer a QR codes option with Zelle.

You can still use email addresses or phone numbers to transfer money.

When you initiate a Zelle transfer to someone not enrolled with Zelle, it will not reach their account instantly. They must enroll with Zelle to claim the payment within 14 days of payment. If they fail to register with Zelle within 14 days of payment, they might not receive the balance in their bank account and, the money will return to your bank account.

Note: payment made on non-business days take almost 1-3 days to reach the recipient’s account.
